Leah Willaimson

LPC

Leah A. Williamson she/her, MCoun, LPC graduated from OSU Cascades in 2019. Her interests and training have focused on body-based or ‘bottom-up’ approaches where she works hard to create an environment where it is possible to engage the whole person in therapy, in their chosen way. She includes mindful, compassion-based interventions foundationally backed by person-centered theory. This may look like eco-experiential therapy (walking or sitting outside), movement, or play to invite clients to find a greater awareness of their traumatic patterning AND their resilience through somatic language. Clients may also see creative expression through art, writing, or music in their work with Leah. She is certified in EMDR through EMDRIA (2019) and a certified yoga instructor (2014). She has received training in Equine-assisted psychotherapy and she has spent several years as a practicing doula (2001). She has over 16 years of experience as a professional rock climbing guide/instructor and has lived in Bend for over 30 years. When she’s not moving with clients, she’s moving outside often with her dog or solo in nature finding the forgotten magical places.
